Archive Process
How an Archive Review Unfolds
Every engagement at App Brook Field follows the same structured process. Variations exist based on scope, but the sequence below applies to our flagship Wallet Archive Review.
Step 1
Initial Inquiry
You submit a brief description of your archive via our contact form or email. We respond within two business days with questions about device count, backup types, and your primary concern.
Step 2
Scope Call
A 30-minute phone or video call to confirm engagement scope, discuss confidentiality protocols, and provide a fixed quote. No secret material is discussed on this call.
Step 3
Intake Questionnaire
You complete a written questionnaire about device models, purchase dates, backup materials, and storage locations. This allows us to prepare a customised review checklist.
Step 4
Deposit & Scheduling
A 50% deposit secures your session date. Sessions are held at our Yeongdeungpo office or via secure video for documentation-only reviews.
Step 5
Review Session
You bring physical materials to the office. We examine seed backups, hardware devices, and written documentation together. You perform all device operations; we observe and ask questions. Photography of secret material is prohibited.
Step 6
Report Production
Within ten business days, we deliver a bound written report. Findings are ranked by severity with specific remediation steps. A one-page emergency outline is included for family members.
Step 7
Follow-Up Call
A 30-minute call to walk through the report, answer questions, and discuss implementation priorities. Additional sessions available at hourly rates.
What to Bring
- All hardware wallets in your active archive
- Steel, paper, and other seed phrase backups (originals, not copies)
- Written recovery instructions
- Any passphrase hint documents (sealed if preferred until the session)
- A list of co-signers or trusted contacts referenced in your documentation
Confidentiality
All materials are reviewed in a private room with no recording devices. Notes taken during the session contain no secret content. Reports reference material types and locations without reproducing seeds, passphrases, or private keys.
Companion Tool
Clients who maintain a personal inventory may use our Offline Wallet Tracker reference app between reviews.
